The technical requirements of glass fiber powder mainly include certain requirements in terms of alkali metal oxide content, average fiber diameter, average fiber length, moisture content, combustible content, and appearance quality.

Technical requirements for glass fiber powder

Glass fiber powder is a product made by grinding glass fiber, and its technical requirements mainly include:

1. Alkali metal oxide content

The alkali metal oxide content of alkali-free glass fiber powder should be no more than 0.8%, and the alkali metal oxide content of medium alkali glass fiber powder should be 11.6%~12.4%.

2. Average fiber diameter

The average diameter of glass fiber powder should not exceed the nominal diameter plus or minus 15%.

3. Average fiber length

The average fiber length of glass fiber powder varies according to different specifications and models.

4. Moisture content

The moisture content of general glass fiber powder should be no more than 0.1%, and the moisture content of coupling agent glass fiber powder should be no more than 0.5%.

5. Combustible content

The combustible content of glass fiber powder should not exceed the nominal value plus or minus 20%.

6. Appearance quality

Glass fiber powder is white or off-white, and must be free of stains and impurities.
